Site Manager

Location: Brussels, Brussels, Belgium Specialisation: Construct Engineering Salary: € 2.800 - € 4.600 gross / month Contracttype: Indefinite time Hours: 40 hrs/week Work ritme: Day

Function

As a site manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day organisation, coordination and monitoring of one or more sites in Brussels and, by extension, across the region. You will monitor the project’s schedule, quality, safety and progress, and ensure that all parties involved work together smoothly. You will contribute to challenging design-and-build construction projects, with a focus on larger schemes in the private and public sectors.

  • Managing foremen, workers and subcontractors on site.
  • Monitoring the implementation of the project in accordance with the schedule, budget, quality standards and safety regulations.
  • Coordinating site meetings and liaising with internal and external partners.
  • Monitoring deliveries, material requisitions, working hours and daily progress.
  • Drawing up and monitoring measurement reports, progress reports and final accounts.
  • Identifying technical issues and actively contributing ideas for solutions.
  • Ensuring that the site is properly organised and that the working environment is safe and efficient.
  • Contributing to projects involving a wide range of structural engineering challenges, from apartment blocks and non-residential buildings to more specialised projects.
  • Where possible, you will work on a regional basis, although this role also requires flexibility to travel within the project area.

You are a hands-on, clear and approachable leader on site, someone who brings structure, takes responsibility and leads teams with a focus on results and collaboration.

Profile

For this role, we are looking for an experienced site manager with a strong background in construction and at least 5 years’ relevant experience in a similar role. You have the maturity to coordinate multiple stakeholders and know how to manage a site effectively, both organisationally and technically. Experience with larger projects, design-and-build projects and/or Class 8 environments is a definite advantage.

  • A Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or equivalent through relevant experience.
  • At least 5 years’ relevant experience as a site manager or in a similar site-based role.
  • Extensive knowledge of site organisation, implementation, planning and the supervision of subcontractors.
  • Experience with measurement certificates, progress reports, final accounts and general administrative site supervision.
  • Fluency in Dutch; knowledge of other languages is an advantage.
  • You are a natural people manager who leads others with clarity and respect.
  • You work in a structured, solution-focused way and take responsibility.
  • Flexible in terms of travel and willing to work outside the immediate region where necessary.
  • An interest in sustainability, circular construction and high-quality workmanship.
  • Experience of large construction sites or projects in a professional construction environment is an advantage.

Candidates with experience in private residential construction or small-scale steel structures are less suitable for this role. Solid site experience in larger construction projects is clearly preferred.

Organisation

This company is a well-established name in the Belgian construction sector, bringing together innovation, sustainability and team spirit under one roof. As a family-run business with an open culture, where the directors themselves are present on the work floor every day, every employee is valued on a personal level. The integrity and drive with which projects are tackled create a pleasant and reliable environment where collaboration is key. Strong regional roots mean that staff can work close to home wherever possible, but occasionally a high-profile project outside the region offers an extra challenge. The focus on circular construction methods and the reuse of materials runs like a common thread through all projects. Here, people are given the space to grow, share their ideas and bring ambitious construction projects to life. An employer where values such as respect, sustainability and commitment are not just empty slogans, but form part of everyday practice.

Offer

You’ll be joining a stable and people-focused working environment with a competitive salary, complemented by a comprehensive package of fringe benefits. As well as an attractive salary package, you’ll have the opportunity to help build challenging projects and develop yourself further within an organisation committed to growth, engagement and a long-term vision.

  • A competitive salary, commensurate with your experience and responsibilities.
  • Mobility budget.
  • Cafeteria plan offering freedom of choice in non-statutory benefits.
  • A company car is provided with this role, in accordance with the internal mobility policy.
  • Opportunities for career progression and professional development.
  • Training opportunities and support to help you develop further in your role.
  • An open, collegial and welcoming working atmosphere with short lines of communication.
  • The opportunity to work regionally where feasible, with the occasional challenging project outside the region.

You’ll be given responsibility, trust and the opportunity to help make an impact on projects that deliver tangible added value.

Diversity and inclusion are important to CTRL-F.
