Mechanical Engineering Service Engineer
Function
As a Service Engineer, you will be responsible for the technical servicing of packaging machines and automated production lines.
Your duties will include:
- Carrying out preventive inspections and maintenance work.
- Installation and commissioning of packaging machines.
- Resolving technical faults and carrying out repairs.
- Analysing problems relating to electricity, mechanics, electronics and pneumatics.
- Carrying out electrical measurements and technical inspections.
- Working with basic PLC technology for fault diagnosis and troubleshooting.
- Provide customers with professional advice on the use and maintenance of their systems.
- Reporting on work carried out and any technical issues that require attention.
You will mainly be working with clients in Belgium, the Netherlands, France and Luxembourg.
Profile
For this role, we are looking for a technical service engineer with a hands-on approach and a keen interest in industrial machinery.
You recognise yourself in the following profile:
- You hold a bachelor’s degree in a technical subject, such as electromechanics, electrical engineering or automation, or you have equivalent practical experience.
- You have experience in mechanical engineering, industrial plant or technical maintenance.
- Ideally, you will have a basic understanding of PLC control systems.
- You work meticulously, independently and with a focus on finding solutions.
- You are customer-friendly and communicative.
- You are willing to travel to clients on a regular basis.

Our client is a specialist company based in the Antwerp region, operating in the field of packaging machinery and industrial automation. You will be joining a small, technical team with short lines of communication and a varied range of responsibilities.
