Senior Transport Planner
Function
As senior transport planner You are a vital link within the transport organisation. You ensure optimal day-to-day planning, maintain an overview and take proactive action when adjustments are needed. Thanks to your experience, you anticipate potential challenges and contribute to an efficient, safe and high-quality service.
What does your job entail?
- You will be responsible for drawing up and continuously optimising transport schedules, with a focus on service quality, cost-efficiency and productivity;
- You will work closely with drivers and operational teams to draw up feasible and efficient schedules;
- You will manage and analyse planning information and ensure it is correctly processed in the relevant systems and Excel reports;
- You will ensure that transport regulations, safety regulations and ADR legislation are correctly applied;
- You will identify operational bottlenecks, draw up proposals for improvement and coordinate these with the relevant stakeholders;
- You will be in occasional contact with clients to make practical arrangements, follow up on matters and coordinate operational issues.
Profile
You are an experienced transport planner who can bring structure to a dynamic environment. You are keen to take on responsibility, think proactively and maintain a clear overview, even when the pressure mounts.
In addition, you possess:
- Experience as a planner, dispatcher or in a similar logistics role;
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree, or equivalent through at least five years’ relevant experience in a complex logistics environment;
- An excellent knowledge of Excel for drawing up schedules, reports and analyses;
- A thorough knowledge of ADR regulations and transport legislation;
- Strong organisational skills and a good sense of priorities;
- A meticulous, analytical and solution-oriented approach;
- A good command of Dutch and French.

- A full-time role on a permanent contract;
- A 40-hour working week during daytime hours;
- A competitive gross salary of between €3,500 and €4,500 per month, depending on your experience and expertise;
- An additional on-call allowance of approximately €300 gross per month;
