Senior Transport Planner

Function

As a senior transport planner, you are the beating heart of transport planning. You oversee day-to-day operations, think ahead and make adjustments where necessary. Drawing on your experience, you identify potential issues before they arise and ensure that our services continue to run efficiently, safely and smoothly.

What will you do?

• You draw up an efficient schedule and continuously optimise it, taking into account service, costs and productivity
• You will work closely with drivers and operational colleagues to ensure that the schedule is realistic and achievable
• You will monitor planning data closely and enter it accurately into the systems and Excel spreadsheets
• You will monitor compliance with transport, safety and ADR legislation
• You identify bottlenecks, analyse possible solutions and liaise with the relevant teams on these matters
• You will be in occasional contact with clients to discuss practical arrangements and carry out operational follow-ups

Profile

You are an experienced logistics professional who brings structure to a dynamic environment. You thrive on responsibility, think ahead and keep your cool when the pressure mounts.

In addition, you possess:

• Experience as a planner, dispatcher or in a similar logistics role
• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, or equivalent through at least 5 years’ relevant experience in a complex logistics environment
• An excellent knowledge of Excel for planning, reporting and analysis
• A thorough knowledge of ADR regulations and transport legislation
• Strong organisational skills and an excellent sense of priorities
• A solution-focused and meticulous mindset
• A good command of Dutch and French
