QA/QC Assistant

Function

Are you passionate about quality and love being involved in projects from A to Z? As a QA/QC Assistant, you play a crucial role in monitoring quality aspects within projects. You support the Quality Manager in the follow-up, control and documentation of all quality aspects, with a particular focus on welding activities and compliance with standards such as ISO and ASME. With your expertise, you will also support the welding engineer and have frequent contact with inspectors and customers.

Your responsibilities:

• Support the implementation and follow-up of quality controls.
• Drafting, collecting and checking QC documentation.
• Liaise with inspectors and customers on quality requirements.
• Assist with internal and external audits.
• Record and follow up on deviations (NCRs) and corrective actions.
• Participate in continuous improvement of QA/QC processes.

Profile

Your profile:

• You have completed an engineering degree, preferably in metal or welding technology.
• You have experience or a strong interest in quality control within welding or construction.
• Knowledge of welding standards (EN ISO, ASME) is a plus.
• You are accurate, administratively strong and have communication skills.
• You are fluent with MS Office and knowledge of ERP systems is an asset.
• You have an eye for detail and a passion for quality.
• You speak very good Dutch and have a good knowledge of English.

Our client is a well-established Belgian company with more than 75 years of experience specialising in the design and manufacture of high-quality, custom-made pressure and process equipment for demanding industrial applications. The company works with heat- and corrosion-resistant alloys, making their installations perform reliably in extreme conditions. They are a fixture within various sectors and offer a broad portfolio including heat exchangers, pressure vessels, reactors,... They currently have around 45 employees and to strengthen the team, they are currently looking for a QC/QA Assistant.
