Project Manager
Function
As a Project Manager Rail, you will support experienced colleagues in following up various construction sites. You will learn both technically and organisationally and step by step gain more responsibility, contributing to the efficient and qualitative realisation of projects.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Support in defining working procedures and setting up subprojects, together with site managers, and follow up smaller parts independently
- Assist in the preparation of long-term planning and collaborate on short-term planning in consultation with the site manager
- Communicating with internal colleagues and learning to liaise directly with customers
- Participating in the analysis of customer requirements and looking ahead to future projects
- Carrying out site tours and checks for the progress of works
- Support order placement and learn to manage cost tracking
- Contributing to the planning and ordering of machines, materials and raw materials
- Attend site and safety meetings and provide support for complaints, additional works and price negotiations
- Gather information for requisition statements and accounts and learn how they are prepared
- Preparing reports of site meetings and tours and communicating with all parties involved
Profile
- Bachelor/Master's degree in engineering or equivalent through experience
- Eager to learn, motivated and willing to develop yourself further in project management
- Basic knowledge of technology and materials, or willing to acquire this quickly
- Team player who supports colleagues and has organisational skills
- Communicatively strong and willing to further develop commercial skills
- Solution-oriented and stress-resistant
- Flexible in terms of working hours; night and weekend work are not a problem
- Command of Dutch or French, willing to learn other languages
- Driving Licence B
- Additional qualifications (such as VCA-full) are a plus, but not required
- Good basic knowledge of MS Office
