Project Manager

Function

As Project Manager You will be given responsibility for challenging projects relating to the design, manufacture and installation of high-quality fire-resistant gates and doors. You will be the central point of contact for the project, from handover by the sales team right through to final handover and after-sales support. In this role, you will oversee the schedule, quality, budgets and communication, and ensure that every project runs smoothly, safely and profitably.

You will manage several projects simultaneously in a structured and hands-on manner. In doing so, you will work closely with internal teams such as sales, the draughting department, production, procurement, the warehouse, assembly and service, as well as with external stakeholders such as customers and site managers. You combine technical expertise with organisational insight and always maintain an overview both on site and behind the scenes.

Your duties will include:

• organise and monitor the handover of projects from sales to operations;
• monitor on-site measurements in close collaboration with the draughting department;
• monitor progress on site on a daily basis and make adjustments where necessary;
• managing, motivating and supporting installation teams, whilst prioritising safety;
• monitoring deadlines, budgets, financial KPIs and cash flow planning;
• ensure timely and accurate invoicing and comprehensive administrative follow-up;
• hand over completed projects to the service department in a structured manner;
• identifying bottlenecks and actively contributing ideas for improvements within the department;
• Use ERP and data entry consistently and accurately to strengthen project management.

You’ll be working in an environment where quality, keeping to agreements and getting things right first time are key priorities. The role therefore requires someone who thinks ahead, takes a solution-oriented approach and adapts quickly when the schedule or site situation demands it.

Profile

For this position, we are looking for a Project Manager with several years of experience and a strong interest in technical and construction-related projects. Ideally, you will hold a bachelor’s degree and have relevant experience in project monitoring, site coordination or a similar role. Experience in the construction sector is a definite plus, as is a technical background or an understanding of production and installation processes.

• you have a good knowledge of Microsoft Office and, ideally, experience with ERP systems;
• You communicate fluently in Dutch and have a good knowledge of French; English is an advantage;
• you have strong organisational skills and can manage several projects at once;

• you take the initiative, think in terms of solutions and remain calm under pressure;
• you have excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing;
• you have a hands-on approach and are not afraid to take on responsibility;
• you consider safe and high-quality working practices to be essential;
• You are keen to learn, flexible and able to switch easily between different stakeholders;
• You feel at ease in a role where you make decisions independently and actively set priorities.
