Project Engineer Metal Structures
Function
As a Project Engineer, you will play a key role in the execution and preparation of projects within industrial metal structures. You will act as a link between project management, production, and implementation teams, taking on a wide range of responsibilities to ensure projects run smoothly and efficiently.
- Elaborating and preparing metal construction projects.
- Analyse tender dossiers, specifications and plans.
- Drafting and interpreting technical construction drawings.
- Provide support in preparing quotes together with the project manager.
- Preparing productions with work preparation packages (weldlogs, material lists, spool lists).
- Implement QA checks and execution control through visits to the workshop and possibly project sites.
- Tracking orders and compiling production files,.
Profile
We are looking for a driven Project Engineer who distinguishes himself through technical expertise and an accurate eye for detail. To be successful in this role you will have:
- A bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant technical field, or equivalent through experience.
- Ideally, 3-5 years' work experience in a similar role; or a junior profile with a master's degree who is willing to learn plenty.
- Proven experience as a technical draughtsman or work planner within structures or piping is an asset.
- Technical skills in Autocad and Inventor, along with knowledge of MS Office tools.
- Ability to read and elaborate technical plans.
- A solution-oriented and analytical working attitude.
- A flexible attitude with a willingness to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Very fluent in Dutch and good knowledge of English.
Organisation
Our client has been in business for 30 years and specialises in industrial pipelines, pressure vessels and metal structures. They are responsible for design, construction, installation and maintenance. Their customers are mainly in the (petro)chemical, pharmaceutical, food, water purification,... Currently, they have about 50 employees of their own. Due to further growth, they are currently looking for a project engineer to support the project leaders.
