Project engineer Construction
Function
To join the team, we are looking for a Project engineer Construction, which assumes a crucial role both in the preparation phase and during implementation.
In this role, you will support the entire project team and ensure the smooth translation of technical concepts into practical implementation solutions.
Your most important tasks consist of:
- Work out and prepare implementation procedures, phasing and alternative solutions, paying attention to quality and safety.
- Assist with tenders and procurement files, and follow up on selected supplies and subcontractors during execution.
- Coordinate implementation plans both internally and in collaboration with external partners.
- Preparation of detailed schedules for specific parts of the project.
- Support technical analyses around foundation techniques, earthworks and concrete structures, among others.
- Function as a liaison between office and site, working closely with the project manager to keep the project on track.
Profile
You are someone who likes to seek technical depth and switch smoothly between preparation and execution.
So we for our client in Mechelen someone with:
- A master's degree in construction engineering or relevant practical experience in a similar construction engineering position.
- Interest in complex technical issues and ambition to delve into them.
- A good command of Dutch, supplemented by a basic knowledge of French and English.
- Familiarity with Office applications; experience with 3D drawings or BIM is an advantage but not a requirement.
- Willingness to be present on projects as well as in the office, depending on the project phase.
Several large and technically challenging projects are ongoing within the organisation, giving you broad opportunities to apply and further develop your expertise.
