Project architect

Function

Do you have a passion for architecture and would you like to contribute to high-quality construction and renovation projects? As a Project Architect for the West and East Flanders region, you will be responsible for overseeing projects from the initial concept right through to successful completion, and for advising the in-house construction team throughout the entire process.

• You will act as the in-house project manager for various construction and renovation projects
• Carrying out urban planning and technical feasibility studies
• You will develop preliminary designs, volume studies and renovation concepts
• You will provide support with the planning permission process and liaise with public authorities and external partners
• You translate internal requirements into architectural and functional principles
• Coordinating and supervising external architects, engineering firms and contractors
• You will monitor quality, budget, scheduling and project objectives throughout the entire process
• You ensure that the end result closely matches the organisation’s needs and expectations

Profile

• Master’s degree in Architecture, Architectural Engineering or Urban Planning & Spatial Planning
• 3 to 5 years’ relevant experience
• In-depth knowledge of construction engineering, regulations and design software (such as AutoCAD, Illustrator and InDesign)
• Analytical and conceptual thinking skills, combined with a structured and communicative approach to work
• Strong organisational skills, a hands-on approach, and a focus on quality and attention to detail
• An interest in interior design is an asset
