Production planner

Function

As a production planner for our client, you will ensure efficient production planning and monitor the smooth flow of all orders.

What does your day look like?

• You draw up an efficient production schedule, taking into account delivery times, production capacity and available resources
• You will plan production across various sites and liaise with the sales department and customers
• You identify bottlenecks and work with your supervisor to find suitable solutions
• You will incorporate rush orders and re-production runs into the schedule
• You optimise machine utilisation and minimise downtime
• You liaise with the maintenance manager to ensure the machinery is available
• You will check production orders and the availability of materials
• You will record materials correctly in SAP and keep a close eye on the records

Profile

What sort of candidate is our client looking for to fill this role?

• You hold a Bachelor’s degree or have equivalent qualifications through relevant experience
• You have strong administrative skills and work accurately and in a structured manner
• You have strong organisational skills and think analytically
• You’ll keep on top of things, even when deadlines are approaching or priorities change
• You are flexible and can cope easily with a dynamic working environment
• Experience with or knowledge of SAP would be a great bonus
