Product Development Engineer

Function

As Product Developer, you are responsible for the development and optimisation of new products within various product categories. You supervise projects from concept phase to industrialisation and ensure that everything meets both internal quality standards and external requirements.

Your main responsibilities:

• Drive product development processes from concept to production.
• Identify and implement functionality and quality improvements.
• Working according to a structured project methodology (stage-gate approach).
• Function as technical point of contact for suppliers and production partners.
• Provide technical support to internal departments such as sales, product management and production.
• Manage and monitor product data within a PLM system.
• Coordinate all aspects of product development: from concept and design to prototyping, testing and production start-up.
• Report to the person responsible for product development.

Profile

• Master's degree in Industrial Design or equivalent through experience.
• Strong communication skills and persuasiveness at various levels.
• Very good knowledge of Dutch and good knowledge of English; basic knowledge of French and German is a plus.
• Experience in industrial product design and/or soft goods; knowledge of electronics is an asset.
• Excellent knowledge of 3D CAD, experience with SolidWorks is a plus.
• Strong sense of responsibility and entrepreneurial mindset.
• Good knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Creative, conceptually strong and analytically minded.
