Process Engineer
Function
The Process Engineer is responsible for developing, optimising and securing efficient production processes while striving for an optimal balance between man, machine and method. This includes a focus on existing production processes as well as the implementation of new products and SKUs.
The job involves actively analysing production data and processes with the aim of achieving cost savings, increasing efficiency and optimising output. Based on these analyses, the Process Engineer develops concrete improvement projects and supervises their implementation within the production environment.
In addition, the Process Engineer is responsible for preparing business cases for process improvements, taking into account scope, required resources, timing, possible risks and budgetary impact. He/she follows up these projects from concept to implementation and ensures proper anchoring within the organisation.
The Process Engineer:
- Identifies and implements improvements around cost, efficiency and productivity within production processes
- Analyses KPIs and translates them into concrete improvement actions for both machines and operators
- Supports and coaches operators and line leaders in applying optimal production methods and working procedures
- Plays an active role in the introduction of new products, processes and product changes within the production environment
- Coordinates production-related activities in implementations of new SKUs and process modifications
- Works closely with various internal departments to ensure smooth implementation of improvement projects
- Verifies and certifies product-specific print specifications according to applicable quality standards
- Contributes to a culture of continuous improvement (continuous improvement)
Profile
An analytical and results-oriented professional with a strong interest in process optimisation within a manufacturing environment is sought for this position.
- The ideal candidate will possess:
- A master's degree in a relevant technical field
- Experience with Lean Six Sigma methodology (at least Green Belt level is a strong asset)
- Experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Experience with relevant software applications for process analysis and reporting
- Experience in project coordination and monitoring improvement projects
- Good communication skills in Dutch and English
- Knowledge of or experience with cGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices) is a plus
