Function
For our client's Zeebrugge region site, we are looking for an enthusiastic operational planner for the rail department.
Are you ready to keep the logistics train on track?
- As operational planner, you accurately register all data of arriving and departing trains in the planning system and ensure flawless booking
- No railway system is too complicated for you! You work with ease on different platforms and prepare precise waybills, ensuring that every shipment is processed correctly
- Customers, train operators and our operations assistants count on you as a communication link every day. You make sure everyone is informed and everything runs smoothly
Profile
What profile will our client Zeebrugge region be looking for for the vacancy of rail department planner?
- You will feel right at home with our client if you have already gained some experience in administration, customer service or planning
- You enjoy working together in a team, but also dare to take action independently when necessary
- Accuracy is your middle name, and even when things get hectic, you stay sharp and organised.
- Different programmes? You don't turn your hand to that
- You have a good command of Dutch and English, and if you also have basic knowledge of French and German, we consider that a big plus
- MS Office has no secrets for you: you use Excel, Word and Outlook like a pro
- Flexibility is your strong suit, and you are willing to work shifts between 6.30am and 12pm
- You will also rotate weekend shifts every four weeks
Organisation
Our client once started as a family business and is headquartered in Luxembourg. Meanwhile, it already employs 3,400 people across 5 sites (in Belgium: Zeebrugge and Antwerp). They operate in RORO (Roll On Roll Off) and have 21 container ships of their own. In Zeebrugge, they handle 2000 - 2500 cargoes weekly.
