Overhead Line Project Manager

Location: Mechelen, Antwerp, Belgium Specialisation: Engineering Salary: € 2.800 - € 4.000 bruto / month Contracttype: Indefinite time Hours: 40 hrs/week Work ritme: Day

Function

As an Overhead Line Project Manager, you are the key person responsible for the preparation, implementation and monitoring of overhead line projects in the rail sector. You ensure safe and efficient organisation, high-quality project management, and adherence to the schedule and budget. Your responsibilities include, amongst other things:

  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety rules and welfare regulations in the workplace
  • Preparing and managing railway projects (from project documentation to final cost analysis) using digital tools
  • Organising project kick-offs, developing working methods, managing suppliers and subcontractors
  • Draws up schedules and coordinates with site leaders and the planning team
  • Carries out quality checks, risk assessments and toolbox meetings
  • Keep a close eye on the financial aspects: costs, margins, accounts receivable and invoicing
  • Reports and makes adjustments where necessary to ensure optimal project outcomes

Profile

Do you recognise yourself in the following profile?

  • You hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electromechanics, electrical engineering or an equivalent technical discipline
  • Experience in project management, engineering or infrastructure is an asset but not essential
  • You’re good at planning, organising and communicating
  • Safety and quality are your top priorities
  • You enjoy working with a variety of teams and have a hands-on approach
  • You like structure, get a buzz from technical projects and are good at meeting deadlines
  • You have an analytical mind and are financially savvy
  • You are willing to monitor a project at the weekend from time to time (around 5 weekends a year)
