Function

The office still has a strong front-of-house focus. So you won’t be an employee who mainly works behind the scenes, but someone who thrives on personal contact and enjoys helping to ensure a smooth service.

Your duties will include:

• You will welcome customers at the counter and assist them with their day-to-day banking transactions.
• You answer questions and work with the customer to find a suitable solution.
• You will guide customers through the various options available for day-to-day banking.
• You will ensure that customer files are processed and monitored correctly.
• You build a relationship of trust with customers and identify business opportunities.
• Depending on your experience and interests, you will also simple insurance claims on.
• You’ll work closely with your colleagues and lend a hand where needed.
• You’ll help to create a friendly and welcoming atmosphere in the office.

Profile

For this role, we don’t just look at what’s on your CV. Who you are, how you interact with customers and how much drive you bring to the role are just as important as your qualifications.

• Ideally, you will already have experience in the banking sector or in a similar customer-focused financial role.
• A school leaver with a bachelor’s degree, too Finance and Insurance is welcome, although we would prefer someone who already has some experience.
• A PCP certificate is a bonus, but not an absolute requirement.
• You have a commercial mindset and get a real buzz from interacting with customers.
• You work independently, but at the same time you’re a real team player.
• You have sufficient analytical and administrative skills to deal with financial matters correctly.
• You combine sound judgement with a strong ability to empathise. You understand not only the customer’s needs, but also the person behind them.
• You are flexible and can switch easily between different types of customers and enquiries.
• You speak excellent Dutch. Knowledge of French is an advantage, as you’ll regularly come across it in your day-to-day dealings with customers.
• A basic knowledge of English is also an advantage.
• Experience with Broker Cloud is a nice bonus.
