Mechanical engineer
Function
A new colleague is not just thrown in at the deep end. The position starts with a comprehensive training phase as Product Manager Assistant Waste Presses, so that the products and workflow are fully learned.
During the training phase, the candidate learns:
- Getting to know the machines and production methods.
- Prepare and compile production files.
- Prepare composition drawings, parts lists and material checks.
- Contribute to product improvements.
- Undergo training in advanced PLC controls and the CE machinery directive.
- Report to the responsible waste press product manager.
After the training phase, the candidate will have plenty of responsibility as Product Manager Assistant Waste Presses, including:
- Together with the product manager, be responsible for planning and monitoring the waste press department.
- Working on product and production optimisation.
- Analyse and resolve technical queries from customers.
- Prepare quotations and files.
- Keep work instructions, manuals and CE standardisation up to date.
- Programming new PLC controls.
Profile
- You hold a degree in Industrial Engineering Electromechanics.
- You have strong technical insight and a healthy dose of "gusto" for engineering.
- You have a basic knowledge of PLC (Siemens, Beckhoff ...).
- You have some knowledge of Autocad and Inventor 2025.
- You speak Dutch fluently, but you can also get by in English.
- You are a real team player, but can also pull projects independently.
Organisation
This atelier is not a factory, but a place where craftsmen make high-end products - unique pieces that call for creativity and thoughtful craftsmanship. Each employee works independently and assembles the product from A to Z, giving great satisfaction: the finished piece is entirely the result of their own efforts and responsibility.
They operate within container construction. They are looking for support for the waste press department.

There is also a lot of leave: 21 ADV days are accrued on top of the statutory 20 days, good for a total of 41 leave days per year.
Work is done in day shift, from 7.20am to 4pm, keeping work-life balance nicely.
