Logistics customer service officer

Function

As a logistics customer service officer, you will be responsible for the following tasks:

  • You will prepare and follow up transport orders both commercially and administratively;
  • You will communicate with customers in case of changes and be their point of contact throughout the order process;
  • You book orders and communicate rates to customers;
  • You register complaints and pass on the necessary information to your colleagues in accounting;
  • You are responsible for telephone and written communication regarding loading and unloading appointments;
  • You process the data accurately in the TMS system and pass on transport information to your dispatching colleagues.

Profile

Are you the logistics customer service employee we are looking for?

  • You have a bachelor's degree or have experience in a similar position;
  • You express yourself fluently in Dutch, French and English;
  • You are proactive, seeing problems as a challenge;
  • You are customer-oriented and communicate fluently;
  • You have a good knowledge of MS-Office and knowledge of TMS is a plus.

Our client is a medium-sized Belgian transport and logistics company specialising in groupage transport to and from France and the UK. With their own cross-dock facility in Erpe-Mere and soon a new site in Kruisem, they provide efficient transport solutions. Besides groupage, they also offer full trailer transport and value added warehousing.

The company has a modern, sustainable fleet of 100 trucks and 150 trailers. Their 20,000 m² warehouse is equipped with the latest technologies and suitable for the food and beverage industry, among others. Service, teamwork, respect and customer focus are key.
