Prevention consultant Level 2
Function
- You are responsible for the organisation’s prevention policy and act as the central point of contact for enquiries regarding wellbeing, safety, health and the environment.
- You advise employers, managers and staff on the various areas covered by the Well-being Act.
- You carry out regular workplace and site inspections and draw up specific improvement measures.
- You will coordinate toolbox meetings, safety initiatives and HSE action plans in collaboration with site and project managers.
- You will help carry out risk assessments, workstation analyses and the identification of hazards.
- You will investigate workplace accidents and incidents and be responsible for maintaining the statutory registers.
- You will provide advice on the purchase and commissioning of machinery, tools, PPE and hazardous products.
- You will monitor periodic inspections and statutory requirements relating to work equipment.
- You are the secretary of the CPBW and will take charge of the internal safety working group.
- You coach managers and staff so that everyone can fulfil their responsibilities under the health and safety policy.
- You will provide advice and coordinate training programmes in the areas of professional expertise, safety and quality.
- You will provide safety instructions and training to new staff.
- You will liaise with external partners and act as the point of contact for the external occupational health and safety service.
- You will foster a culture of continuous improvement in the areas of safety, quality and wellbeing.
Profile
- You have relevant experience as a health and safety adviser.
- You hold a Level 1 or Level 2 Health and Safety Advisor certificate.
- You are service-oriented and supportive towards both internal and external stakeholders.
- You’re a real team player, but you’re also able to work independently and with attention to detail.
- You are pragmatic, solution-oriented and not afraid to take the initiative.
- You anticipate potential problems and turn risks into practical solutions.
- You find it easy to make contacts and build lasting professional relationships.
- You have strong communication and organisational skills.
- You are flexible, enterprising and have the necessary determination.
- You have a strong sense of responsibility and are constantly striving for improvement.
- Knowledge of quality assessment and monitoring systems is an advantage.
