For our client, an international player in machine construction for the food and packaging industry, we are looking for an International Project & Commissioning Engineer. Ideal for engineers who get energy from both technical challenges and working at various foreign locations.
As an International Project & Commissioning Engineer, you coordinate and realise the installation and commissioning of industrial machines and lines for customers worldwide. You will become the on-site expert and combine engineering, project operation and customer contact in one hands-on and adventurous job.
Your responsibilities:
- Supervision, installation, adjustment and commissioning of filling, sealing, washing and packaging machines at international sites (up to 70% trips)
- Coordinating projects from preparation to completion, including reporting and client consultations
- Technical troubleshooting of electrical, mechanical and automation problems (Siemens PLCs/TIA Portal, drives, SCADA/HMI)
- Perform inspections, maintenance and optimisations on existing systems
- Preparation and management of technical documentation on customer sites
- Supervise & train local operators/technicians
- Ensuring safety, quality and technical compliance according to international standards
- Close cooperation with the engineering team at home and abroad
Profile
Our ideal candidate:
- Possess a bachelor's or master's degree in electromechanics, electronics, automation or similar
- Has at least initial experience in commissioning, engineering or technical project coordination
- Has knowledge and affinity with PLC programming (Siemens S7, TIA Portal), SCADA/HMI, drives, and mechanical installations
- Is willing to undertake frequent and longer overseas travel (up to 70% internationally)
- Speaks fluent English and can get by in French; knowledge of Dutch, German or Spanish is a plus
- Is customer-oriented, stress-resistant, adventurous, a real team player and knows how to get things done
- Is hands-on, creative in finding technical solutions and works on projects in a structured way
