HVAC project leader

Function

As an HVAC project manager, you are responsible for the end-to-end management of technical installation projects. You act as the link between the client, site managers, suppliers, subcontractors and internal staff.

You will oversee every project from preparation through to completion and ensure that the work is carried out in accordance with the schedule, budget, quality standards and health and safety regulations. In doing so, you will combine technical expertise with organisational and communication skills.

Your responsibilities as an HVAC project manager will include, amongst other things:

• Determining the technical, financial and human resources required for each project.
• Drawing up and monitoring the work schedule.
• Consulting, assessing and selecting suppliers and subcontractors.
• Preparing the site dossier and explaining it to the site manager.
• Providing technical advice on materials, techniques and applications.
• Organising the supply of materials and equipment to the site.
• Determining the location of machinery and storage areas.
• Planning staff deployment and allocating work shifts.
• Identifying additional works and submitting them to the building owner or client.
• Monitoring the work carried out by suppliers and service providers.
• Monitoring compliance with quality, safety and work procedures.
• Reporting any accidents or incidents of damage.
• Assessing and coaching staff.
• Identifying training and development needs within the team.
• Exploring ways to improve the efficiency of projects.
• Discussing new technologies and energy-efficient solutions with customers.
• Attending training courses on energy-efficient technologies and sharing this knowledge with colleagues.

Profile

For this role as an HVAC project manager, we are looking for a professional with strong technical and organisational skills who is keen to take on responsibility.

You recognise yourself in the following profile:

• You have a general understanding of HVAC systems and technical installations.
• You hold an associate degree, bachelor’s or master’s degree in electromechanics, or have at least a few years’ relevant work experience.
• You have experience in the technical and organisational management of projects.
• You work in a structured manner and maintain an overview of various ongoing tasks.
• You pay close attention to quality, safety, planning and efficiency.
• You communicate easily with clients, site managers, suppliers and subcontractors.
• You have a good knowledge of Dutch.
• Knowledge of French and/or English is an advantage.
• A VOL-VCA certificate is a bonus.
• You are willing to undertake continuous professional development in the fields of HVAC, energy-efficient techniques and new technologies.
