Head of the Precast Concrete Department

Function

As workshop manager, you will play an active role in production and ensure that staff, scheduling and processes are properly coordinated. Your responsibilities will include, amongst other things:

• You will organise and monitor the production schedule, paying particular attention to capacity, quality and deadlines.
• You will manage a team of around 25 staff members on a daily basis and ensure that they work together smoothly.
• You identify bottlenecks on the shop floor and work with your team to find practical and structural solutions.
• You are responsible for ensuring safety, order and the proper running of the department.
• You will work closely with the quality and health and safety department to further optimise processes.
• You’ll stay close to the shop floor and support your team where necessary to ensure production runs smoothly.
• You will actively contribute ideas on improvements that enhance the department’s efficiency and performance.

Profile

You feel at home in a production environment where organisation, responsibility and cooperation take centre stage. You enjoy rolling up your sleeves, keep a clear overview and know how to get people on board with the process in a clear and respectful manner.

For this position we are looking for someone who:

• Has a technical background and is able to interpret technical drawings with ease.
• Several years’ experience in a manufacturing or construction environment and experience of managing a team.
• Sterk is good at organising and keeps a clear overview even when the pace of work is fast.
• Communicates clearly and effectively with staff and internal departments.
• Knows how to motivate people and enjoys working together to achieve a good result.
• He has an eye for quality, proper execution and attention to detail, and is able to convey this to the team.
