Freight forwarder

Function

As a freight forwarder, you are responsible for planning operations across various countries; your duties include the following:

• You will be responsible for drawing up the day-to-day international schedule;
• You’ll be on hand to help out in various countries when staff are on leave or during busy periods;
• You optimise trips and routes, focusing on profitability and efficiency;
• You interact with customers, international partners and drivers;
• You solve operational problems and quickly anticipate changes;

Profile

Are you the freight forwarder we’re looking for?

• You have some initial experience as a freight forwarder or in a similar logistics role;
• You have a good geographical knowledge of Europe;
• You can express yourself professionally in Dutch and English, knowledge of French is a plus;
• You cope well with stressful situations and can move quickly when changes occur;
• You are flexible, hands-on and have strong communication skills;
• You are comfortable with MS-Office, knowledge of ERP is a plus.

They have a strong presence in high-demand sectors such as fashion (fashion), cosmetics and food supplements, in which they provide customised and value-added services such as pick & pack, personalised packaging, returns management and omnichannel fulfilment.
