Freight Forwarder

Function

Our client, a global provider of transport and logistics services, is looking for a Freight Forwarder (Export) for their Antwerp location. As an ocean freight forwarder, you will manage your own shipments and coordinate the entire transport process from A-Z. for a large Key Account.

Key tasks:

• Provide daily service and maintain customer contacts regarding sea freight export shipments.
• Creating shipments in the TMS system.
• Booking shipments with various partners (carriers, shipping companies) according to established agreements.
• Provide instructions to the customs team for the preparation of customs documents.
• Maintain daily contact within own company network for shipment announcements and prepare offers.
• Be responsible for accurate billing and data quality.
• Follow up on protocols such as security measures; embargoes, cargo specifications,...

Profile

For this vacancy, we are looking for someone with:

• Between 5-10 years' work experience as a Freight Forwarder, Sea, Export
• Good knowledge of Dutch and English.
• Smooth learning of new computer programmes.
• Preferably, you already have an IMDG and Codex.
• Ability to work from the Port of Antwerp.
