Finance Manager

Function

As Finance Manager, you will be responsible for the entire financial administration of the Belgian entity. You will combine operational tasks with financial analysis and actively contribute ideas on how to further optimise the organisation.

Your duties will include:

• To be responsible for the day-to-day bookkeeping from start to finish.
• Processing accounting entries, supplier management and financial transactions in-house.
• Preparing and submitting VAT returns and fulfilling other tax obligations.
• Carrying out monthly, quarterly and annual account closings.
• Preparing financial reports, budgets and forecasts.
• Analysing financial results and formulating proposals for improvement.
• Act as the financial point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.
• Work closely with the French branch and the international finance department.
• To play an active part in the ongoing digitalisation and optimisation of financial processes.
• Reporting to the management.

Profile

You are a hands-on Finance Manager who enjoys taking on responsibility and feels at home in an entrepreneurial SME environment.

In addition, you recognise yourself in the points below:

• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in a finance-related subject.
• Several years’ experience in a financial role within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience as a Finance Manager, Senior Accountant or in a similar role.
• You enjoy getting involved in day-to-day operations and combine strategic insight with a practical approach.
• You have strong analytical skills and the ability to reason logically.
• You have a good knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 (AX) or are able to learn new ERP systems very quickly.
• You communicate fluently in Dutch and have a good knowledge of French, enabling you to work closely with colleagues in France.
• You are meticulous, work independently and take ownership of your cases.
• You’ll feel right at home in an SME where initiative, flexibility and commitment are valued.
