Field Service Technician

Function

As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance and repair of electromechanical machinery at industrial laundries across the Benelux. You will set off from home and, following a short induction period, be given the necessary autonomy to visit customers independently and resolve technical issues.

Your tasks:

• Installation, commissioning and start-up of machinery and plant.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Analysing and resolving technical faults.
• Carrying out service calls and site visits in Belgium, the Netherlands and, occasionally, Luxembourg.
• Working alongside fellow technicians and fitters.
• Reporting on work carried out and parts used.
• Communicating in a customer-focused manner and ensuring a professional service.
• Working in accordance with the applicable safety and quality standards.

You’ll start with supervision on the job and progress to an independent role with your own responsibilities and schedule.

Profile

For this role, we are looking for a technically skilled and keen-to-learn technician with a solid grounding in electromechanics.

Your profile:

• You must hold at least an A2 diploma in electromechanics or have completed a similar technical course.
• You have a good grounding in mechanics and electricity.
• You are technically minded, solution-oriented and keen to learn.
• Once you have completed the course, you will be able to work independently and take on responsibility.
• You enjoy variety, dealing with customers and working on the move.
• You are flexible and willing to work on-call shifts and at weekends from time to time.
• You are willing to work within the Benelux.
• You are customer-oriented and communicative.
• You have a driving licence B.

Experience in field service, maintenance or industrial installations is an advantage, but motivation and an interest in technology are just as important.

Their branch in Wetteren is specifically responsible for installation, sales and service activities within the Benelux region.

• Overtime and travel time are always paid at the 100% rate.

• Approximately 36 to 38 days’ leave in total, depending on the scheme and how the entitlement is accrued.
• You’ll be picked up from home, and all transport arrangements are professionally organised.
