For a leading consultancy firm specialising in environmental and safety consultancy, we are looking for an experienced Environmental Consultant / Project Engineer Environmental in Flanders, to join our client: a leading environmental consultancy firm.

As an Environmental Consultant and Environmental Project Engineer, you will play a key role in assisting companies on environmental legislation, environmental audits and environmental engineering projects.

You will take charge of various projects and your daily tasks will include:

• Acting externally as environmental coordinator: monitoring customers' environmental compliance, conducting company tours, following up on emission measurements (such as wastewater and air emissions) and ensuring clear reporting.
• Drafting, conducting and supervising environmental engineering studies such as BAT evaluations, stormwater studies, water management and air pollution.
• Assist clients in the application and processing of environmental permit files and implementation of environmental management systems.
• Collaborate with other experts within the company, ranging from environmental specialists to safety experts, and opportunity to expand your expertise (e.g. as an EIA expert on air or water).

Profile

For this vacancy, we are looking for a technically skilled talent with at least five years of relevant work experience. Your profile:

• Master's degree (Industrial Engineer, Civil Engineer, Bioengineer) or equivalent through experience, supplemented by additional training in environmental coordinator A and/or prevention advisor level I or II.
• Thorough knowledge of environmental legislation, environmental permits, environmental impact assessments, water studies and environmental engineering (such as treatment plants).
• You are eager to learn, enjoy taking responsibility and communicate openly and transparently.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team within a multidisciplinary team of environmental experts.
• Language skills: you speak Dutch fluently. Knowledge of French and English is a plus.
