Experienced MER Coordinator

Are you a driven environmental engineer with experience in environmental impact assessment (EIA)? Our client, a leading environmental engineering consultancy with a focus on sustainability and innovation, is looking for an experienced EIA Coordinator. This is your chance to work in a professional organisation known as the specialist in advice on environmental, safety and environmental permits.
As MER Coordinator, you will manage a multidisciplinary team within the ‘Environmental Studies & Management’ department. You will be responsible for:
- Coordinating and supervising complex environmental projects from A to Z for national and international clients within various sectors.
- Directing the entire environmental impact assessment process, from environmental engineering studies to the submission of environmental permit files.
- Defining licensing strategies together with the client, with an eye for quality, regulation and objectivity.
- Acting as a link between experts, clients and government agencies.
- Reporting project progress to management and ensuring continuous optimisation of work processes and knowledge sharing within the team.
Profile
Our ideal candidate is a true team player with a passion for the environment, technology and regulations. In addition, we ask:
- Relevant work experience with EIA reports, environmental assessments and/or environmental permits.
- Approval as EIA Coordinator; additional approvals are a plus.
- Background as a bioengineer, industrial engineer, civil engineer or a related engineering master's degree.
- Knowledge of legislation, process optimisation and project management in a multidisciplinary context.
- Strong analytical skills, accuracy and results orientation.
- Excellent communication in Dutch. Knowledge of French and/or English is an added advantage.
