Engineering Project Manager

Function

As an Engineering Project Manager, you will be responsible for the overall coordination of technical projects, from the initial analysis and engineering through to handover and aftercare. You will combine technical expertise with project management skills and act as the link between the client, internal teams and external partners.

Your responsibilities

• Coordinating technical projects from the design and development stage through to handover and evaluation.
• Analysing customer enquiries and carrying out technical feasibility studies.
• Developing the most suitable technical solutions.
• Preparing quotations and creating project orders.
• Monitoring the schedule, budget, contractual agreements and project margins.
• Assemble and manage multidisciplinary project teams.
• Coordinating internal staff, operators and external subcontractors.
• Monitoring safety, quality and compliance with environmental regulations.
• Act as the central point of contact for clients throughout the entire project.
• Building long-term customer relationships and identifying business opportunities.
• Carrying out post-project cost calculations and project evaluations.
• Responsible for after-sales service and the management of maintenance contracts.
• Actively contribute to process improvements and technical innovations.

Profile

• You hold a higher technical qualification, preferably a Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering (Electromechanics), or have equivalent experience.
• You have several years’ experience in a project-based technical environment.
• You have a strong passion for technology and possess excellent project management skills.
• You are fluent in Dutch and English; knowledge of French is an advantage.
• You are an inspiring team coach with strong people management skills.
• You work proactively and in a solution-oriented manner, and you keep a clear overview, even under time pressure.
• You are flexible and willing to travel occasionally, depending on the projects.
