Project Manager Electricity

Function

We are looking for a [position] to help develop industrial electricity projects in the Genk region. Project Manager Electricity who ensures these projects run smoothly from preparation through to commissioning. You will work both in the office and on site, and switch effortlessly between technical development, coordination and monitoring. In this role, you will combine strong electrical knowledge with a practical approach and broad versatility within industrial sectors such as concrete, pharmaceuticals and chemicals.

Your responsibilities will include:

• The technical preparation and supervision of industrial electrical works, including cabling, the selection of materials and site planning.
• Managing construction sites and coordinating the work in consultation with internal teams, clients and subcontractors.
• Helping to draw up the designs for and monitoring the construction of switch boxes and control panels.
• Supervising the commissioning of installations and complete production lines, in collaboration with software engineers and other technical staff.
• The replacement of high-voltage switchgear, utility installations and machinery cabling in industrial construction.
• Ensuring quality, safety, adherence to deadlines and the efficient delivery of every project.
• Maintaining close communication with our regular client base and fostering long-term industrial partnerships.

You will be working in an environment where no residential electrical work is carried out, but where the focus is on complex industrial installations, technical challenges and projects that affect entire production lines.

Profile

For this role, we are looking for a project manager with a solid technical background and at least 3 to 5 years’ relevant experience in industrial electrical engineering or a similar technical project environment. You are someone who can maintain an overview whilst also enjoying getting hands-on with technical solutions.

We expect you to have:

• A strong knowledge of electricity, with a clear affinity for industrial installations.
• Experience with cabling, cabling preparation and an understanding of materials in an industrial context.
• The ability to draw control panels or contribute technical input to their design.
• Experience of, or an interest in, overseeing sign fabrication and coordinating technical teams on site.
• A hands-on approach and the flexibility to work both in the office and on site.
• The ability to work alongside software engineers and help bring systems online.
• A broad range of skills and the willingness to take on multiple tasks and responsibilities within the project team.
• Good communication skills and a structured approach to work.

A technical qualification in electrical engineering or electromechanics is a strong asset, complemented by relevant experience in the industrial sector. The ability to work independently, a sense of responsibility and a solution-oriented approach are important for success in this role.

Our client works in Industrial Electricity, where they take care of total projects from electrical engineering, E-plan drawing to sign building to complete site supervision and execution.
