Credit Counsellor

Function

As a credit adviser, you will guide clients through their credit enquiries, from the initial consultation right through to the follow-up.

You:

• analyses clients’ financial situation and credit requirements;
• discusses various credit options;
• prepares credit files and monitors them;
• collects and checks the necessary documents;
• maintains contact with customers and credit partners;
• monitors the progress of ongoing cases;
• helps to come up with solutions when a case requires extra attention;
• works closely with colleagues in the areas of lending, insurance and investments.

You’ll be joining a team where two colleagues are involved in the lending activities, with the person in charge focusing, amongst other things, on business loans.

Profile

For this role, we are looking for someone with some experience in the field of credit.

• Ideally, you will have 2 to 3 years’ experience in lending or a similar financial role.
• You have a good understanding of credit products and credit files.
• You work accurately and in a structured way.
• You are confident in making decisions on your own.
• You communicate easily with customers and colleagues.
• You are customer-focused and work with us to find solutions.
• You have an entrepreneurial mindset and take the initiative.
• You’ll feel at home in a family-like environment where colleagues look out for one another.

Organisation

You will be joining a family-run organisation with strong regional roots. The head office is located in Diksmuide, from where the lending activities for the various branches are supported.

The organisation now also has offices in Houthulst, Veurne and Poperinge and aims to expand further in the Westhoek region.

Here, they work without individual KPIs. Providing excellent customer service is the top priority. Every year, staff review their progress and development together with their line manager.
