Controls Engineer

Function

Are you a technical jack-of-all-trades with a passion for automation and robotics? As a Controls Engineer, you will work within an innovative team and play a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining customised automation solutions. You will be responsible for both the electrical and functional realisation of customer projects. From the concept phase to the creation of manuals, supervision of installations, and final delivery - your role is crucial at every project stage.

• Detailing concepts after transferring sales.
• Writing functional descriptions and manuals.
• Creating and checking electrical diagrams and layouts together with a draftsman.
• Managing the sourcing of components, including price comparisons and technical solutions.
• Coordinating and supervising on-site installations and connectivity.
• Provide technical support to internal and external stakeholders.
• Supervising software testing and drafting test procedures.
• Providing training at customers' premises.
• Following up on aftercare and resolving any customer issues.
• Ensuring compliance with local legislation and guidelines during realisation.

Profile

To be successful in this role, you will have the following qualifications and skills:

• A master's degree with a specialisation in electricity, electrical engineering, electromechanics,...
• Experience with CAD software.
• A strong combination of creative and technical skills.
• Proactive mindset with the ability to spot and seize opportunities.
• Flexible, positive and open-minded attitude.
• Excellent communication skills in both Dutch and English.
• Willing and motivated to learn and develop yourself further.
• Able to work in an international environment and positively embrace different cultures.
• Willingness to travel to international project sites up to 30% of the time.
