Chief Electrician/Lead Technician

Function

We are looking for an experienced Chief Electrician/Lead Technician to lead and coordinate electrical installation work at our permanent site in Rijkevorsel. You will play a key role in projects within the telecoms and data centre sector, ensuring high-quality execution and efficient team coordination. You will be responsible for planning, organising and managing installation teams, with a focus on a high standard of workmanship.

Key responsibilities:

• Managing and supervising electrical installation and fitting work
• Planning, organising and coordinating the day-to-day activities of teams
• Reading and validating electrical diagrams and technical drawings
• Ensure that electrical installations and (where applicable) data cabling are carried out correctly
• Monitoring quality, safety and deadlines
• Training, coaching and supporting team members
• Solving complex technical problems
• Ensuring a high standard of finish and an eye for detail

Profile

• At least 10 years’ relevant experience in electrical installations
• Extensive knowledge of electricity and, preferably, data cabling
• Extensive experience in planning and organising teams
• Demonstrable leadership skills (team coordination, coaching, training)
• High standards of quality and finish
• Problem-solving skills and a hands-on approach
• Good communication skills
• A VCA certificate is an advantage
