Road construction calculator
Function
- You will gather the necessary data from the client to identify their requirements and the available budget of the project.
- You will work closely with colleagues in the execution department, with the aim of achieving the best result for both the client and the company.
- You thoroughly examine all available documentation, such as bills of quantities, specifications and drawings, and then compile the project file.
- You request quotations from subcontractors and suppliers and compare them with your own work to arrive at a total project price.
- You adjust your calculations based on factors such as planning, execution, choice of materials and quality and suggest improvements to make the project optimal.
- You ensure that the complete file is submitted to the client on time, in accordance with the deadline.
- In the role of estimator, you think proactively with the customer and suggest alternatives or improvements where necessary.
- When the project is ordered, you and the legal department check the contract in detail.
- During project execution, you will liaise with the operations managers to ensure that execution matches the estimate you have made.
Profile
- You enjoyed a degree in civil or industrial engineering or bachelor's degree in construction.
- You have previously worked as a calculator within construction or infrastructure, or have gained in-depth experience in calculation work in another position.
- You are analytically minded and enjoy a passion for making the right calculations.
- You are organised and work accurately and with an eye for detail.
- You dare to think creatively and out-of-the-box for the customer and for the company.
- You are passionate about infrastructure works and have a love for the job.
- You speak very good Dutch.
