Calculator/Engineer Industrial Energy and Piping Projects

Function

To support further growth, the company is looking for a Technical Calculator / Engineer to work out technical solutions and prepare cost calculations within industrial energy and piping projects.

The Technical Calculator works closely with project managers and business managers and is responsible for analysing customer requests, working out technical concepts and drawing up correct and competitive quotations. This position offers the opportunity to further develop technical knowledge within a wide range of industrial applications and challenging projects.

The Technical Calculator's responsibilities include:

• Analysing price enquiries, specifications and bills of quantities
• Working out technically feasible and customer-oriented solutions
• Preparing cost price calculations and commercial offers
• Requesting, comparing and evaluating prices from suppliers
• Interpreting technical plans, diagrams and drawings
• Preparing accompanying technical and commercial documentation
• Liaising with project managers and case managers

Depending on experience and interest, the duties may be further expanded to include:

• Direct contact with customers
• Site visits and technical measurements
• Co-developing and discussing technical solutions on site

For the performance of this job, the necessary guidance is provided by experienced colleagues.

Profile

• Possesses a bachelor's degree in electromechanics or has equivalent technical experience
• Has a strong technical understanding and interest in industrial techniques
• Can correctly interpret technical plans, diagrams and drawings
• Works accurately, structured and independently
• Possesses good communication skills and a commercial attitude
• Has a good knowledge of MS Office
• Knowledge of AutoCAD is a plus
• Experience is an asset, but motivated school leavers will also be considered
