Function

As a cost estimator, you will play a key role within our client’s team in Lummen. The role involves a wide range of responsibilities that contribute directly to the success of our projects. You will calculate costs, request quotations, analyse them and draw up price quotations for both public tenders and private projects. In addition, you will collect and analyse project data, carry out quantity survey checks based on plans and specifications, and explore alternative construction solutions. Implementing the BIM approach and keeping up to date with the latest techniques and regulations through internal and external training courses are also part of your role. You will report to the head of the design department.

Profile

We are looking for a motivated professional with the following qualities:

• A degree in civil engineering or a Master’s degree in architecture, or equivalent through relevant experience.
• Relevant experience in the construction sector.
• Excellent spatial, technical and numerical understanding.
• Well-organised, meticulous and analytically strong.
• An innovative and enthusiastic team player.
• A good command of Excel and Word.
• An interest in BIM engineering; knowledge of KPD Bouwoffice would be an advantage.
• Knowledge of French is an asset.
