CAD Draughtsman

Function

What is expected of you?

• As a CAD Draughtsperson, you translate aluminium joinery projects into clear, technically accurate drawings that are usable by clients, project management, production and installation.
• After consultation with the internal project manager, you develop construction and detail drawings.
• You contribute to the preparation of projects on the basis of your draughting work and align technical decisions with the project manager and other colleagues involved.
• Parts lists, material schedules, purchase orders and production orders are carefully prepared by you, ensuring that purchasing, production and installation have access to the correct information.
• As a technical draughtsman, you safeguard the completeness and quality of your files and flag potential errors, missing data or practical bottlenecks in a timely manner.
• Within the drawing office, you are given room to contribute ideas on technical solutions, optimisations and possible innovations in working methods.
• You work together with two colleagues in an environment where consultation, accuracy and a practical outlook directly contribute to the quality of the end result.

Profile

Who are you?

• A first experience as a CAD Draughtsman or technical draughtsman is welcome; candidates with a technical qualification and a strong motivation to further develop themselves are also eligible.
• You preferably hold a higher technical qualification. For this role, technical insight, eagerness to learn and a sense of responsibility carry more weight than a specific diploma.
• A good knowledge of AutoCAD and an understanding of technical drawings are important in order to produce correct and executable plans.
• Spatial awareness helps you to translate constructions and connections correctly into drawings; experience with steel or aluminium joinery is an advantage, but not a requirement.
• You work accurately and critically, communicate easily with colleagues and are not afraid to ask questions. This collaboration is essential to clarify technical information in a timely manner and to prevent errors before production or assembly.
