BIM Coordinator
Function
You ensure that all BIM models are aligned with one another and ready for smooth execution.
You safeguard quality, co-manage the modelling team and form the link between the BIM model and practice on site.
In doing so, you work closely with the BIM Manager and the project team.
Specifically:
- Coordinate: You bring together the various discipline models and production models and ensure that everything is aligned, with the support of the BIM Manager.
- Safeguarding quality: You carry out quality checks, detect clashes between disciplines and test the models against the agreed BIM agreements. You link planning and phasing to the model and ensure that both graphical and technical information is correctly integrated.
- Leading the modelling team: You provide direction to the team that produces execution and quantity models, whilst remaining actively involved in the modelling yourself.
- Streamlining collaboration: You align models with one another using tools such as Revit and ACC Model Coordination and communicate with project teams, clients and subcontractors.
- Translating BIM into practice: You manage the results of BIM coordination, ensure correct element coding and support the execution team with BIM-related questions. In addition, you actively contribute ideas on how BIM processes within building projects can be made more efficient and effective.
