BIM Architectural Draughtsman

Function

We are looking for a [position] for our client in Hoogstraten BIM Architectural Draughtsman who helps to develop projects from the initial draft on paper right through to the final version in the file. You’ll translate preparatory work into clear technical drawings for planning permission applications and ensure that every plan is spot on. Together with the project managers, you keep the files organised, clear and ready for the next stage.

In this role, you’ll have a varied range of responsibilities in which precise drawing and creative problem-solving go hand in hand. You’ll be involved in projects with a strong focus on sustainability, innovation and clear communication. No two days are exactly the same, but you can count on a structured approach, teamwork and an environment where initiative is encouraged.

• Preparation of technical drawings for planning permission applications
• Processing prepared files in collaboration with the project leaders
• Drawing up plans in AutoCAD and, where relevant, Revit or other drafting programmes
• Contributing ideas on technical solutions and structural details
• Preparation of visualisations for the client or public authorities, where necessary
• Ensuring the quality, completeness and consistency of the drawings
• Contributing to a smooth and hassle-free experience for the customer

Profile

For this role, our client in Hoogstraten is looking for someone with a solid grounding in architectural draughting and a healthy dose of enthusiasm. You don’t need to be a seasoned veteran in the field, but you do have a few years’ experience and feel at home in a technical environment. You work meticulously, tackle tasks independently and have an eye for detail without losing sight of the bigger picture.

• You have studied architectural draughting, applied architecture or interior architecture
• You have a good knowledge of AutoCAD
• Experience with Revit or other drawing programmes would be an advantage
• You have between 0 and 3 years’ experience and are already familiar with structural aspects
• An interest in agriculture is an advantage, given the many agricultural projects
• You take the initiative and are keen to roll up your sleeves
• You’re meticulous and don’t like doing things by halves
• You are a good communicator and enjoy working with project leaders and colleagues

Because you’ll be helping to put together files that really have to be spot on, a sense of responsibility, a willingness to learn and a practical mindset are more important than empty talk.
