Air Freight Forwarder (Export)

Function

Organising, coordinating and improving: that’s what you’re good at. In this role, you’ll connect customers, airlines and partners with one another and ensure that shipments are handled efficiently. You’ll have the freedom to contribute your ideas and actually put them into practice.

• Co-ordinating and processing air freight consignments from start to finish.
• Monitoring of consignments, appointments, documents and necessary information.
• Act as the point of contact for customers, agents, suppliers and other relevant parties.
• Advising customers and ensuring clear, service-oriented communication.
• Booking shipments with airlines and maintaining good relationships with partners.
• Negotiating options, rates and terms.
• Contributing ideas on process improvements and ensuring an efficient and customer-focused approach.

Profile

• You must have at least a completed qualification, preferably in the field of logistics.
• At least 3 years’ experience as an air freight forwarder
• You communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing.
• You are flexible, proactive and enjoy taking the initiative.
• You have a good command of Dutch and English; knowledge of French would be an advantage.
• Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations within the air freight sector is an advantage.
