Experienced Accountancy Case Manager

We are looking for a Mid-level or Senior Accounting File Manager for a well-established accountancy firm with multiple branches. The firm is growing, but has managed to retain its personal and friendly atmosphere. You will be joining a team of around 30 colleagues where people know one another, support each other and work together openly.

The firm mainly works with SMEs and sole traders. This means you’re close to your clients and, as a case manager, you can really make a difference. You don’t just process figures; you also work alongside business owners and become a trusted point of contact.

Specifically, you are responsible for:

• managing your own client portfolio independently;
• preparing and submitting VAT returns, personal income tax returns and corporation tax returns;
• preparing interim results and year-end accounts;
• the preparation of annual accounts;
• advising clients and contributing ideas to help them develop their business;
• monitoring deadlines and the quality of the files;
• supporting and mentoring less experienced colleagues where necessary.

This role goes beyond mere file management. You’ll have the opportunity to provide genuine advice to clients, take on responsibility and help make a difference within the team.

Profile

For this role, we are looking for someone who already has experience in accountancy and enjoys working independently.

You recognise yourself in the following:

• you have several years’ experience working in an accountancy or bookkeeping firm;
• you can manage cases independently from start to finish;
• you work accurately and in a structured way;
• you enjoy working with customers to find solutions;
• you communicate professionally and in an approachable manner;
• you enjoy taking responsibility;
• You enjoy supporting less experienced colleagues when needed.

An ITAA qualification is not a requirement. If you do have one, or would like to obtain one in the future, that is certainly possible. What matters more is that you have experience, can work independently and are committed to providing excellent support to clients.
