You will join an exciting technology environment where they will give you theoretical and practical training to become a test engineer. But it doesn't stop with training, because they offer you continuous training and coaching. You will be part of a small but nice team and you will maintain contacts with a large number of players in the sector. This is how you build a network and grow into an expert in your field. You can count on a correct remuneration in function of your age, education and/or experience and on fringe benefits. Obviously, teleworking is not possible for test work, but it is possible for purely administrative tasks.

Function

  • You will work in our high-quality laboratory in Brussels
  • Together with your colleagues, you will independently carry out functional tests on domestic and tertiary heating and cooking appliances fired by gas (natural gas, LPG, biomethane, hydrogen), oil or biomass
  • You will discuss test results with manufacturers and help them develop their prototypes and improve their existing devices
  • You will also perform occasional measurements at manufacturers at home and abroad
  • Finally, you will also participate in (inter)national research projects

Organisation

As an association of Belgian gas transmission and distribution system operators (Fluxys, Fluvius, Ores, Resa and Sibelga), our client is a small but fine organisation. Their accredited lab is internationally recognised as a centre of expertise for appliances (such as heating appliances, cooking appliances, hot water production appliances, etc.) operating on gaseous, liquid or solid traditional (think: natural gas, fuel oil) and renewable fuels (think: hydrogen, biomethane, biomass). At the heart of their organisation is a team of technicians who carry out tests on these devices. And in that team of experts, a place is now vacant.

Profile

  • You have a bachelor's degree in electromechanics, electricity, electronics, chemistry or equivalent
  • You have a type B driving licence
  • You are fluent in Dutch and/or French with a good working knowledge of the second national language and English
  • You are curious, dynamic and motivated
  • You enjoy working in a team
  • You show initiative and propose solutions autonomously
  • You have good communication skills
  • You are sufficiently assertive in your dealings
  • You always keep customers' needs in mind
  • In testing and reporting, you are precise
