Technical Draughtsman

As Technical Draftsman, you will be responsible for the following range of tasks:

• You will create production drawings for the production of high-end custom furniture.
• You draw out in Topsolid.
• You will be responsible for programming the CNC machines via bSolid.
• You will be responsible for ordering project bean materials.
• You communicate closely with the studio manager about the elaboration and outcome.
• You will work closely with project leaders to evaluate technical feasibility and address any design challenges.
• You keep abreast of new developments in design software, materials and production techniques to continuously improve the design process.

As a Technical Draftsman, you will largely meet the following:

• You preferably followed a Bachelor's degree in wood technology, interior design or are equivalent through experience.
• You already have about 3 years' experience as a draughtsman. Experience with bespoke furniture is a plus.
• You possess a healthy dose of technical insight.
• You preferably have knowledge of materials within joinery as well as already knowledge of production techniques.
• You communicate fluently and can function well within a driven and experienced team.
• You have an eye for technical feasibility to make decisions independently.
• You will report to the person in charge of production.
• You have a good knowledge of MS Office.
• You have a very good knowledge of Dutch.
• You hold a VCA certificate or are willing to obtain one through our client.

Our client operates in the interior design sector. They make custom-made furniture and total furnishings for the commercial sector (offices, banks,...). They have their own industrial joinery and can also make bespoke furniture. They have been active since 1984 and currently have about 30 driven employees.

You will join a fine family-run company where there is a fun and informal atmosphere. There is a lot of collegiality and a do-nothing mentality.
Furthermore, you can count on a challenging position with many career opportunities as there are plans to expand further.
You will receive a nice remuneration complemented by mobile phone, laptop, meal vouchers of €8 per day worked, group insurance and hospitalisation insurance.
You will work a 40-hour week with 12 ADV days. Since you will be working in the construction industry, you will also follow construction leave.
Furthermore, you will work fixed hours from 7am to 3.45pm.
