Technical Manager

As technical manager, your duties will be as follows: 

• You are responsible for developing and implementing the vision and strategy of the Technical Department
• You direct all EHS activities
• You will coach your colleagues, invest in their development and strengthen cooperation within the team
• You identify training needs within your team and find appropriate solutions
• You are responsible for the maintenance and capex budget
• You promote good cooperation with the other departments and act as a positive driver
• You will be part of the Management Team and the Works Council
• You report to the Plant Manager

Our client is a global player in the non-wolf sector. They employ over 1,200 people and are located in West Flanders. In addition, they have several sites abroad.

As technical manager, you preferably meet the following profile:

• You already look back on 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in a technical management position
• You preferably obtained a Prevention Advisor Level 1 or 2 diploma
• You can communicate clearly, constructively and openly and know how to enthuse people
• You have highly developed strategic thinking skills and clear long-term vision
• You have coaching and connecting skills
• You are able to view complex situations from a helicopter view and set the right priorities
• You adopt a flexible approach to on-call duties (we are a full-time production company)
