Technical Designer

You will join a family-owned company where there is a fun and informal atmosphere.

Furthermore, you will work fixed hours from 7am to 3.45pm.

Your duties as Technical Designer;

• You will create production drawings for the production of high-end custom-made furniture.
• You make drawings in Topsolid.
• You are responsible for programming the CNC machines via bSolid.
• You provide orders.
• You communicate closely with the workshop manager about the design and the result.
• You work closely with the project leaders to evaluate technical feasibility and address any design challenges.
• You keep abreast of new developments in design software, materials and production techniques to continuously improve the design process.

They have their own industrial joinery workshop.

For this Technical Designer position, we are looking for a candidate with the following qualities:

• You followed a bachelor wood technology, interior design or are equivalent through experience.
• You already have 3 years' experience as a draftsman.
• Experience with custom-made furniture is a plus.
• You have a healthy dose of technical insight.
• You preferably have knowledge of materials within joinery as well as knowledge of production techniques.
• You have an eye for technical feasibility to make decisions independently.
• You report to the person in charge of production.
• You have a good knowledge of MS Office.
• You communicate in English and already have at least a medium knowledge of Dutch.
• You have a VCA certificate or are willing to obtain one via our client.
