Support Engineer

As a Support Engineer, you will be an integral part of an international after-sales and service team with support colleagues in Toulouse, Kuala Lumpur and Milwaukee. Specifically, your role includes: 

1. Internal Technical Helpdesk:

• You will work with a global team of Support Engineers to staff Pattyn's technical helpdesk.
  • From a distance, you will work with the customer or Field Engineer on site to keep the machines functioning optimally. 

1. International Travel and Support:

• In addition to your role from our headquarters in Bruges, you will be willing to travel 20% of your time internationally. The duration and timing of the periods are mutually negotiable. 
  • You will provide on-site support to our Field Engineers in the areas of mechanics, electricity, pneumatics and software.

1. Bridge between Field and Internal Team:

• You act as the connecting link between the field (customers, technicians) and internal teams.
  • You will diagnose problems on site, bring them to internal attention and work on solutions in consultation with R&D.

Who are you?

• You obtained a technical degree complemented by several years of experience in the field.
• You are passionate about the mechanical engineering sector and therefore want to delve further into it.
• You are a bridge-builder, dare to pull the cart and take responsibility.
• Customer focus is one of your strengths and you succeed in helping customers in a correct and complete manner.
• Speaking Dutch is no problem for you and English has no secrets for you either.
