Function

  • You calculate in detail the strength and stability of steel structures and related detail connections according to the standards and proprietary objectives.
  • Additionally, during assembly work, you must calculate the stability of the structures.
  • For the calculations, you determine and collect basic data such as loads, plans, calculation methods, and schedules.
  • You obtain a cost-efficient and economical product for the drawing office, production, and assembly.
  • You create lifting and handling instructions.
  • If technical problems are identified by the drawing office or Project Manager, you solve them, always taking into account norms, regulations, and standards.
  • You respect the planning and report any problems in a timely manner.

Profile

  • You hold a Master's degree in Construction Engineering and preferably have initial experience in a similar position.
  • You possess technical knowledge of materials.
  • You are well-versed in the theory of strength.
  • You are thoroughly familiar with various European standards; for example, the EN 1993 series holds no secrets for you.
  • You are acquainted with DNV GL standards and understand FEM models.
  • You have experience with software packages such as SCIA Engineer, ANSYS, and/or AutoCAD 2D/3D.
  • You have a proficient command of English.
  • You can work autonomously as well as in a team.
  • You may be either a motivated school leaver or an experienced professional.
