Function
As a Software Engineer for our client in the region of Hasselt you will be involved in researches, designs, develops and debugs of software programmes for improvements and new products.
Your tasks:
- Perform top-quality software implementations in areas such as real-time image processing, machine vision, industrial process control, human-machine and machine-machine interfacing
- Using modern design tools, technologies and agile software development principles
- Analyse software requirements and specifications to determine design feasibility within time and cost constraints
- Identify, specify and develop robust diagnostic capabilities in collaboration with various departments
- Provide second-level technical support for internal customers (apps, service);
- Perform software quality assurance and continuous improvements of previously developed software
- Develop documentation and training content and participate in new product launch teams
- Participating in or leading technical product development meetings, group brainstorming sessions, design reviews and code walk-throughs.

Profile
As Software Engineer Vision for our client in Hasselt we are looking for someone with following qualifications;
- Master's degree in Computer Science, informatics;
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience;
- Knowledge of signal and image processing algorithms and knowledge of C++, OO design;
- Preferably familiar with Python, Qt and Boost;
- Experience in programming, within the Linux operating system;
- Fluently in English, Dutch is an asset;
- If required, willing to travel to customer sites;
We are looking for someone with strong communication and time management skills that is used to working in a multidisciplinary team.
Someone who is able to take imaginative and creative problem-solving actions to develop software implementations in different domains.
