Site Operations Engineer

For this dynamic company, we are looking for a site operations engineer to take on the following duties:

• After a thorough training and induction period, you will be deployed as a specialist in water treatment systems. The systems are known to the world's biggest players in the pharmaceutical and chemical sectors. Analysers, softeners, filtration and reverse osmosis equipment will be your allies. The adjustment, monitoring, cleaning and repair of these appliances will hold no secrets for you.
• You will monitor the water production process from A to Z per site and keep an overview of the various sub-processes. When intervening, you will take into account the impact of your interventions on the entire process.
• You carry out control rounds where you inspect and, if necessary, calibrate filters and measuring devices. You take samples, operate valves and perform general maintenance tasks. You carry out both preventive maintenance and curative interventions. You work in the electrical, (electro)mechanical, hydraulic and process areas. You register the parameters you monitor and the interventions you carry out.
• Your scope of work is mainly with industrial customers in various branches and at different locations in Belgium.

As a site operations engineer, you will meet the following profile:

• You are and feel responsible for the installations entrusted to you
• You are a reliable, communicative team player with a strong sense of ownership, allowing you to work accurately and strive for quality solutions
• You will communicate directly with the customer and think about suitable solutions
• You enjoy working independently as well as as a team, together with colleagues from different disciplines
• You hold a diploma of higher secondary education, preferably in a technical field or in the field of chemistry, chemical process techniques, ... Bachelor's degree is a plus.
• Experience with water treatment is an advantage but not a must
• You derive satisfaction from a varied range of tasks involving both hands-on work and administrative follow-up and recording. You are familiar with MS Office
• You are fluent in Dutch, have a good knowledge of English and can express yourself adequately in French
• Driving Licence B
• You work during the day and are given a lot of freedom to plan your day. On the other hand, in case of unexpected problems at a customer's premises, we can also count on your flexibility
