Function

As a Service Engineer, you will be responsible for the following range of tasks:

  • You will be responsible for testing, maintaining and repairing the various shuttle systems and associated systems on customer sites.
  • Foreign assignments do not deter you for this. You work mainly within Europe and are away from home for an average of 2-3 days a week.
  • You will lead assembly teams on major repairs or installations.
  • You will support end-users and integrators with level 1 and level 2 support, both on-site, by phone and via remote connection.
  • You will be responsible for PLC software (Beckhoff) configuration and live testing.
  • You will provide training of end-users and integrators at customer sites as well as in-house.
  • You will provide assistance to the commissioning team during installations when required. 
  • You will detect commercial service opportunities with current customers and discuss these with the sales team.

Profile

As a Service Engineer, you will largely fulfil the following:


  • You have a bachelor's degree in electromechanics or related or are equivalent through experience.
  • Projects abroad (mainly Europe) do not deter you.
  • You are willing to travel 60-70% of your time for this position. Usually about 3 days a week.
  • You have a good knowledge of Dutch and English. Knowledge of other languages is a plus, but not a must.
  • You are fluent in MS Office applications.
  • You have an affinity for software.
  • For some projects, you will be prepared to work at height or in refrigerated areas.
  • You are sociable, eager to learn and driven with a strong customer focus.
  • You are able to solve problems independently.
  • You have strong communication skills to work effectively with internal and external teams.
  • You have knowledge and/or interest in various technical topics, including software, hardware, robotics and mechanics.
